London's Museums Archives and Libraries (LMAL) have collated an events list to advertise and promote the wide range of Black History Month celebrations, events and activities taking place in the London region from October 2003 onwards.

Over the past few months over 150 libraries, archives/record offices, museums, galleries and heritage sites throughout London have sent in details about forthcoming events – such as local history talks, seminars, workshops, exhibitions/displays, book/poetry readings, music and drama performances, etc. – organised to celebrate the history and cultural heritage of Britain's Black, Asian and other minority ethnic communities over the centuries.

This website provides access to LMAL's Black History Month database comprising details of over 150 Black History Month events, searchable by borough, date or event type.

Further details about many of these events are also available in the Greater London Authority (GLA)'s official 'BHM Guide' and will appear in the Black History Month listings for The Voice newspaper.
